Hindsight is with Apple right now

Ask them while you can.

Hindsight sends one thoughtful question to your circle — your family, your closest friends. Everyone answers in their own words, and every answer is kept, forever.

I'll email you the day it drops — and the first question's on me. No spam, ever.

Why this exists

I couldn't tell you what my mum
wanted to be at my age.

"

I know her. I speak to her constantly. I know her coffee order, I know what she'll say before she says it — and I know almost nothing about her life before me.

And the reason isn't that I don't care. It's that there's never a moment for it. You don't sit down at Sunday dinner and go "so, Mum — any regrets?" It's weird. There's no doorway.

So I built the doorway. You make a private circle, you send one question, everyone answers — and nobody sees anyone's answer until they've given their own. Everything gets kept. Just for your circle. Nothing's public, ever.

The whole build, on TikTok

Five days of building, the submission to Apple, and every day of the wait since — I've been sharing all of it. Come watch the journey end.

A peek inside

This is what's waiting for you

The Kings 👨‍👩‍👧
This week's question

What's the best day you can remember?

Mum0:42
Grandma Rose

The day your grandad turned up at my door with a bunch of tulips he'd clearly nicked from next door's garden…

🔒 Answer to reveal
Answer with your voice 🎙

One question at a time

No feed, no noise. One thoughtful question lands for your whole circle, once a week. Scarcity is the magic.

Answer to reveal

Nobody sees anyone's answer until they've given their own. No copying, no lurking — everyone shows up honestly.

Their actual voice

Hold to record. Fifty years from now, it's not the words you'll want — it's the sound of them saying it.

Private, forever

Only your circle ever sees an answer. Nothing public, no ads, no tracking — and you can export everything, free.

What's coming on day one

More than a question a week

Built for the moments you can't get back.

🎙

Voice & video answers

Some answers should be heard, not read. Hold to record — the artifact is the sound of their voice.

Time Capsules

Seal an answer until a chosen moment — an 18th birthday, a wedding day, or simply "one year from now."

Generational Mirror

The same question, answered across generations, shown side by side. What did each of you dream of at 16?

🎭

Guess Who

Answers appear unattributed — guess which friend broke that rule and never regretted it. Made for friend circles.

While we wait

Try a question on someone tonight

These are real questions from the app. Imagine your mum's answer. Now imagine never hearing it.

Childhood

What did you dream of becoming at 16?

Takes about 2 min to answer

Your turn

What's the question
you've never asked them?

The best suggestions go straight into the app's question packs. Some of the questions in Hindsight already came from TikTok comments — yours could be next.

Suggest a question

I read every single one. If yours makes the app, it's in front of thousands of families.

That's a good one. 👀

It's on its way to Matt's desk. If it makes the app, it'll be asked at dinner tables you'll never know about — which is a lovely thought.

The story so far

From idea to your home screen

⚡️

Built in five days August 2026

One realisation about my mum, five days of building, and an app I actually needed to exist.

📱

Shared the whole thing on TikTok

Every day of the build, in public. The comments became the question bank — some of your questions are literally in the app.

🍎

Submitted to Apple

It's in review right now. This page exists because "give me a follow" needed a smarter sibling.
